It's My Party & I'll Cry If I Want To

I realized a few things today and was reminded of other things.
1. I have some of the greatest friends ever Always knew this but was reminded today)!!!
2. I hate interuppting people and bothering them (okay so maybe I already knew this), but sometimes it is necessary.
3. I can't learn everything in 2 days, it is going to take time
4. If I don't remember how to do something, I need to ask and make sure I get it right.
5. Practice makes perfect (or semi-perfect)
6. My family is amazing.
7. As much as I proclaim to be a wall, I sadly am running out of putty to plug the leaks.

First Day of Work

The first day of my job at the court house is over, and well I survived! I learned so much, and I am really not sure I retained it all! I guess tomorrow when I go and do it again we will see. I was officially sworn in as an Officer of the Court this morning and that was pretty exciting! I was not sure about everything earlier but as the night has gone on I have gotten more excited and I am changing my attitude! It's funny because when I interviewed I said that a lot of how you deal with repetitive assignments has to do with attitude and I am not remembering that! I am off to go read more papers and try and figure out insurance, I have no clue about what plans to choose! I am gonna need some serious help!

Some Missions Accomplished

Today was a pretty busy day, I have been puting off shopping for clothes for work, but realized this morning I had to do it. I am happy to report that I actually found decent cute clothes, that I suprisingly like. I also got the Jeep washed finally, ran a few errands, got some highlights, and then capped off the evening with dinner and a movie oh and a new pair of shoes. Rachel and I haven't hung out lately so we met for dinner at Bombay House then went to see Hairspray, it is a really good movie. It was a very productive day and I am pretty happy about all the stuff I was able to cross of the to do list! There is still more to do, but there is always another day!

Reservations For 2

Megan and I went to see No Reservations tonight, and it was pretty amazing. It is a good thing I am a wall or I might have gotten some dust in my eye. Today has been an interesting day, Carrie and Daniel left for their new home in St. George, I maybe had a mini breakdown and I got to hang out with Kirsten and go to the BYU bookstore and lunch. Overall, it was a good day.

I'm a Big Kid Now... and I don't like it!!

Alright so the second interview this morning went very well. I was a little confused because at first it was like okay why do you want to work at the courthouse and then about 2minutes later it was, this is what you will be doing, you'll start here and move up, etc. So yeah after 15 minutes I left the interview with a job, a parking pass and a whole lot to think about! I start Monday at 8am and I am still kinda stunned and not sure what I was thinking. I came home this afternoon and did some extreme amount of cookie making to relieve some stress and take my mind off things! Oh man life is so crazy right now, and I am just trying to take one day at a time!

Freaking out!!

Well tomorrow morning is the second interview. I am really not sure how I feel about the entire situation. I don't want to grow up! I have had a lot of alone time recently to think about life and what is to come! But, heck it may not even matter I might not get the job in the first place! Okay I am off to bed! More to come tomorrow!

Pionner Day Swimming Fun

So Jerilyn and Megan invited me to tag along for a trip to the pool! It was so much fun, and the tube slides were even fun, though a tad scary! One of the Lifeguards was thirsty so she brought her slurpee with her to the pool and continued to drink it the entire time, oh and then it was announced that she had just gotten engaged! Oh heck of course, that would explain the very nice earrings she was wearing. Also no worries, Megan definetley brought her Visiting Teaching assignments with her to make appointments and phone calls! Yeah she is amazing! That Ladies and Gentlemen is why I will never be Relief Society President, or in a Presidency I am not the right material for that!!! It was a great day and a great beginning to the weeklong birthday celebration, because as much as I fight it, I am begining to realize that it is inevitable I am having a birthday!

Waterpark Fun

Well since I was still in Utah Marissa invited me to go with her to Cherry Hill this afternoon. It was pretty fun! We did some floating down the lazy river and a couple trips down the waterslide. Then a little drying off in the sun, NOT sunbathing because after last weekend I learned my lesson. We applied our sunscreen first thing and I am pretty sure I put on 2 layers before we even hit the water. Funny thing is I was talking to Karl last night on my drive back to Provo and he was telling me that everyone in the family got burned at the cabin this weekend! Guess they didn't think to apply sunscreen until after they had been on the boat for a few hours! I am for sure calling Tiffy later seeing as how she made fun of me all week!

Feeling Better

I am happy to report that the sunburn has stopped hurting and the "tube rub" is starting to heal now! I am going to wear sunscreen from now on, no matter what! I am trying to figure out when I am going back to California still. Originally I was going to leave this afternoon, but after my interview on Monday I am hanging around. I kinda told them that I could start immediately, which is true, but I need to go get the rest of my stuff from home. I really hope to hear soon so that I can figure it all out. If all else fails I can either drive straight thru or get a flight to Sacramento Friday and drive home with my Dad who is there for business stuff. This is really helping with my goal of learning patience, but I still don't like it!

Painful Day and Good Day

So I am back in Utah for a little visit. I am so excited to be back and see all my friends I have really missed them! So Marissa asked me before I came back if I would go tubing with her stake from West Jordan yesterday morning. I had nothing better to do so I went along. I have no clue why but I did not apply my usual SPF5000 to my legs so the FRONT is lobster red! Sadly I can't wear shorts to prevent the rubing because it looks retarded! I am so dumb! Also who knew that from paddling with your arms that what we are now calling "Tube Rub" can occur. I don't know if my arms are ever going to be the same! Today was my 2nd Mission Presidents homecoming in Smithfield. It was so fun seeing him and his family! I realized today that it has been a long time since I got home from Indiana and had a sad Pity party for like 2mins! Tomorrow morning I have an interview at the court house for a job I am kinda freaking out about it hope that everything goes alright!

Random Happenings

1. Marela was my assistant Cookie maker! She did a great job dumping the stuff in! Sugar Free Oatmeal Craisin Cookies rock my world!

2. The highlight of a recent supermarket run was the pink butterfly cart. The picture would be better probably if I hadn't just run the cart into the curb while Tiffy was trying to get a picture! Marela is super sensitive about people laughing at her, even when they aren't.

3. The T-Shirt, everyone at work has been discussing this shirt since I got home. One of the funny old men at work wears it everyso often and I was lucky enough that he wore it while I was here!

4. The return of the Purse Man. He came around again selling his purses but this time he hung around for a long time! Mom had to run to the bank to get cash so he stuck around and visited, I was baking some cookies that afternoon and he kept following me around. It got to the point were some of my friends at work tried to convince us that we would make a cute couple! HELL NO!!! He is a nice guy but NO!!! I actually think he thought it was a great idea because when I said, I was going back to Utah and long distance relationships are not for me he grilled me about it! hahaha oh heck!!

Happy 4th of July

We celebrated 4th of July by hanging out at Karl and Lisa's and swimming, Grilling, and setting off some fireworks. It was a lot of fun and after being doused in SPF 50 I am happy to report there is not too bad of a sunburn! I learned my lesson last year, a painful message too! I love 4th of July, I love my family and the good times we share!

ER Visits

I have spent more time in Hospitals the last few days than I have in a while. On Saturday when Tiffany and I got home from a day of shopping and dinner with the kids Debbie said she had gotten a phone call from Effie and that her baby was sick. Effie had Pablo the day before we left for camp and is really worried about everything. So Debbie and I went and sat with her and the baby in the Children's Hospital ER from like Midnight and got home at like 5am. After a few hours I made them put the masks on and take pictures, heck I needed some entertainment from somewhere! Then on Monday my Grandma was taken to the hospital after she "fainted" or as my mom insists, "She DID NOT FAINT SHE DIED" oh Mom! Bless Granny's Little heart, she had no clue where she was or what happened, it was a really scary day and poor Tiffy was a reck! Luckily Granny got to come home today to enjoy the 4th with us!

Better Late Than Never

Life has been crazy and so I am just now getting around to posting pictures from Girl's Camp. I had so much fun this year, and I guess we have at least one more ahead next year. Mom has gone for 13 straight years, next year will make 14! Everyone always asks how she can continue to go, but I really can't imagine a summer without it! I love getting to know the girls better and being able to serve them! The Stake YW presidency did a great job playing "Boast Busters", I made a new BFF Bret who has fainted the last 3 years and this year spent more time with me than anyone else! Camp was capped off by a slamming on of the brakes on the way down the hill to avoid hitting a couple herds of cows. I was going to get a good picture of the second herd, but one of the cows had other plans so for our safety and the car's we hightailed it out really quick! On second thought we had to stop for cows on the way up too and one tried to kick my car, maybe the Jeep looks like a cow??? Humm!
